Fifteen years after the end of the original comedy
series, the cast of "Gilligan's Island", with the exception of Tina Louise,
lent their voices to "Gilligan's Planet" in this 1982 cartoon series. After
escaping the island by constructing a rocket ship (suspend disbelief from
this point forward), the intrepid castaways find themselves marooned on a
distant planet, farther from home than ever. The show revolved around
attempts to get off the planet, interstellar visitors, and alien threats.
Although the series only lasted one season, reruns continued until 1984. |
