Friends,
TV Tunes Online is a free site for the public done with a love of the subject matter. Fans of classic TV can enjoy our content freely and we hope it brings a pleasant nostalgia. That being said, the site is a beast that requires feeding or it will die. Hosting, license, and content fees are, after 13 years online, impossible to keep up with any longer. We hope you'll see value in our little site and, if so, that you'll contribute to help us keep it online. We humbly and gratefully accept donations of any size to keep our little site online. Can you help?

Tales from the DarksideWith a tip of the hat to shows like The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and even Night Gallery, the horror anthology television series "Tales from the Darkside" explored the macabre, the fantastic and the strange. Created on the heels of the moderately successful motion picture Creepshow, Tales from the Darkside continued the creepy and sometimes bizarre plot lines. Steeped in the tradition of 1950's horror comics like The Vault of Horror and Tales from the Crypt, this series featured story adaptations from such writers as Harlan Ellison, Robert Bloch, George Romero, and Stephen King. Unpredictable stories of noise eating vacuum cleaners, aliens, Satan, vampires and other creatures of the night, made this show a fan favorite in the 1980's. With an unfortunately low budget but a huge cult following, the show explored horror and twisted supernatural storylines. Tales from the Darkside was able to attract several notable actors for roles in the series. Actors like Darren McGavin, Phyllis Diller, Jerry Stiller, Marcia Cross and Harry Anderson.

TV News:
Harold and Kumar Go to Adult Swim
05/17/12
Harold and Kumar have been to White Castle and Guantanamo Bay. Now they're going to Adult Swim. Adult Swim is developing an animated project based on the "Harold & Kumar" movies. The project, which currently goes under the moniker "Untitled Animated Harold & Kumar Project," is being produced by Lionsgate. The network has also given the go-ahead to a pilot from "Community" creator Dan Harmon. Titled "Rick & Morty," the half-hour project follows a "genius inventor grandfather and his less than genius grandson, and the journeys in life they share." Other pilots given the nod by Adult Swim include "Colonel Wallace,'" about an eccentric Southern fried-chicken magnate; "Coffin Dodgers," which follows the curmudgeonly residents of a suburban retirement home who "get into Animal House-style trouble"; "Green Bench: The American Day Dream," about a group of friends with nebulous business plans; "Freestyle Love Supreme," which centers on a bunch of rapping I.T. specialists; "King Star King," about "a modern day he-man who's half-warrior, half-idiot"; and "Rolling With Dad," from Seth Grahame-Smith of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and "The Hard Times of RJ Berger"'s David Katzenberg. "Rolling With Dad" follows a brilliant disabled man as he struggles to deal with his much less intelligent family.
