Gary Coleman charged in bowling alley incident 09/20/08 Former child star Gary Coleman was charged Wednesday, Sept. 17, with two misdemeanors -- reckless driving and disorderly conduct -- stemming from an earlier incident at a Utah bowling alley, reports People. On Sept. 6 around midnight, Coleman, 40, was backing out of a bowling alley when his truck hit Colt Rushton, 24, as well as another car. Rushton was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. According to witnesses, Rushton had taken photos of Coleman inside the bowling alley, which led to an argument that continued outside. Rushton's attorney insists that the photos were very casual fan pics taken by a cell phone, not a case of paparazzi tactics. Rushton has sued Coleman and is seeking damages for medical bills, pain and suffering, and punitive damages. Coleman is best known for playing Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes" in the '80s.
Blue Collar Comedy's Ron White Drug Arrest 09/11/08 Ron White of the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" was late to a sold-out performance on Florida's Treasure Coast — but he had a good excuse. The Vero Beach Police Department arrested the 51-year-old comedian Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. White, whose comedy album is titled "You Can't Fix Stupid," was booked at the Indian River County Jail shortly after 6 p.m. and released about two hours later on $1,000 bail. He went straight to the show after being released from jail. The show was delayed about an hour. One of White's most famous routines includes a joke about being booked into a Texas jail under the alias "Tater Salad."
