Marge Simpson Playboy Cover
10/13/09
"The Simpsons" is getting the ultimate tribute by Hugh Hefner. Marge Simpson has landed on the cover of Playboy's November issue. The blue-haired matriarch of Springfield has revealed a bit more of that yellow skin than we've ever seen before for an alluring pose. Marge reportedly also poses in sexy cartoon lingerie in a three-page spread inside the magazine. The choice of Marge was part of a larger effort on the magazine's part to reach an audience that's in their 20s, according to the Sun Times. "[It was] obviously somewhat tongue-in-cheek," CEO Scott Flanders told the reporters.

Braeden Out at Y&R
10/09/09
In yet another blow to the already ailing soap opera world, Eric Braeden, the venerable star of CBS' "The Young and the Restless," has exited the top-rated daytime drama after a nasty negotiation with Sony. Eric Braeden's last episode as Victor Newman will air on November 2. The production company wanted the popular actor to take a pay cut for playing mega mogul Victor Newman, but Braeden -- who's been on the soap since 1980 -- opted to leave instead.

Curb Your Enthusiasm For a Seinfeld Reunion
10/02/09
The Seinfeld gang returns to television for a show-within-a-show reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm (Oct. 4 at 9/8c, HBO). When Larry David's on-screen wife (Cheryl Hines) leaves him, she notes that she loved him more when he worked on Seinfeld because it kept him busy. In order to win her back, he arranges an entire reunion. Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards are just a few of the Seinfeld alumni who'll drop by, so keep your eyes peeled.

Changes afoot at 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent'
09/25/09
Changes are afoot at "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" involving original cast member Vincent D'Onofrio and newcomer Jeff Goldblum. D'Onofrio is poised to leave as a series regular early in the ninth season on USA Network next spring. Goldblum, who joined the series last season, may remain as lead detective and could be joined by Saffron Burrows, replacing Julianne Nicholson. USA Network and series producer Wolf Films declined comment. "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" has seen cast turnover before: Chris Noth co-starred for three seasons.

'Family Guy' Character Gets Own Show
09/23/09
On the premiere of his new FOX show, Cleveland Brown gets a fitting send-off from the world he inhabited on "Family Guy." Forces unleashed by "Family Guy" lunkhead Peter Griffin cause the front of Cleveland's home to be destroyed, exposing him naked in his second-floor bathtub, whereupon he slides — yelping "no, no, no, no, no, NO!" — to a crash landing on his front lawn. It isn't the first time. But if the terminally affable Cleveland has spent six seasons as a "Family Guy" sidekick and fall guy, that's about to change. He heads back to his hometown in Virginia, where he weds his high school sweetheart, Donna, and becomes stepfather to her children: hotsy high-schooler Roberta and mouthy 5-year-old Rollo.
